These terms are written to be short and readable. In a sentence: the app is yours to use for personal and work purposes, your documents belong to you and stay on your device, and you're responsible for what you scan and share.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the Scanner & QR Detector mobile application (the “App”), provided by Hikmet Topak (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal or professional purposes, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
3. Your content
Documents, PDFs, QR history and settings you create with the App are yours. They are stored only on your device; we don't receive, host or back them up. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Backups are your responsibility. Deleting a document or uninstalling the App removes its data permanently, and we cannot restore it.
- Scan responsibly. Only scan and share documents you have the right to copy and share, and respect the privacy of others whose information may appear in them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone's rights;
- copy, modify, redistribute, sell or sublicense the App, except as allowed by applicable law or the store's terms;
- decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code, except where the law expressly permits it.
5. QR codes and third-party content
QR codes and barcodes can point to websites, phone numbers and other content created by third parties. The App shows you a code's content before any action and never opens it automatically, but we don't control, check or endorse where a code leads. Whether to open, call, message or copy is your decision, and third-party services are governed by their own terms.
6. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that scans, barcode readings or PDFs will always be accurate or complete. Please check important documents before relying on them.
PDFs created with the App are image copies of your pages. The App does not provide electronic signatures, certification or legal validity for any document.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability or consumer right that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When the Terms change, the “Last updated” date above changes too; continuing to use the App afterwards means you accept the updated Terms. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Your license ends automatically if you breach these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
